Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  1. What is the Spherix Community and who can join?
The Spherix Community is a set of research networks made up of physicians and APPs, market access experts, and other specialists who participate in our research to improve the understanding of healthcare trends and patient experiences. Membership is subject to double verification of credentials and specialty. Communities for physicians and APPs require verification of clinical credentials, while market access communities include experts in healthcare policy, reimbursement, and managed care.e.
  2. How does Spherix use my data and safeguard my privacy?
Spherix collects and analyzes survey and interview responses to generate aggregate insights for the healthcare and adjacent industries. Your personal data is never shared with clients or any third party, and we strictly follow all data protection regulations. All responses are reported in aggregate only, and individual physicians and APPs are never identified in any research output. Spherix treats privacy as a foundational obligation, not a compliance requirement. If you have privacy concerns, you can contact our support team at any time. Read more about our protections here.
  3. How often will I receive invitations to participate?
Survey frequency varies by community and your documented specialty. Each invitation clearly states the topic, the estimated time required, and the honorarium before you decide whether to participate. There is no minimum participation requirement and no penalty for declining.
  4. What types of research activities can I expect?
You may be invited to participate in concise online surveys, one-on-one interviews on emerging clinical topics and pipeline therapies, and, for select members, advisory engagements and panel discussions. Survey length is communicated upfront, and the median online survey runs about 27 minutes. Honoraria are provided where applicable.
  5. How is compensation determined and when will I receive it?
Honoraria are set at fair market value and communicated transparently before each engagement, calibrated to the length and complexity of the activity along with role and specialty. Members can choose from multiple payment options, including direct deposit and check. Payment is processed within two to four weeks of completing a study. For additional validation and security, all first payments are sent by physical check. For questions about payment status, please contact our support team or refer to the instructions in your study invitation.
  6. What should I do if I have technical issues or need help?
If you encounter technical problems during a survey or have trouble accessing your account, please reach out to Spherix Support using the contact details in your invitation email or on the survey platform. Most issues are resolved within one business day.
  7. How do you ensure that research participation is efficient and respects my time?
Spherix was built exclusively for specialty medicine. Every study is designed by clinical researchers, reviewed for specialty appropriateness, and calibrated to the practice realities of the physicians and APPs receiving it. We monitor survey length and respondent feedback and make adjustments when issues are identified, and you will never receive an invitation for a therapy area outside your documented expertise.
  8. What sets Spherix apart from other community panels?
Spherix focuses exclusively on specialty research, shares findings back to contributors, and respects the time of our members. Physicians and APPs who participate in multiple research panels consistently rate Spherix higher than other research organizations across the dimensions that matter most, including payment methods, medical accuracy, survey navigation, and fair compensation. We minimize repetitive or irrelevant invitations and are committed to continuous improvement based on your feedback.
  9. Can I refer colleagues to the community, and if so, how?
Yes. We welcome referrals. Physicians and APPs and market access professionals can refer peers or colleagues using our “Refer a Colleague” link or by contacting the Spherix team. You will receive a referral bonus after your colleague registers and completes their first study.
  10. Who can I contact with feedback or complaints?
You can always contact our community management team by replying to survey invitation emails, through the “Contact Us” page on your portal, or using the support address research@spherixglobalinsights.com. We take all feedback seriously and use it to improve our research processes and member experience.
  11. Will I have any opportunities to receive aggregated research insights or participate in professional discussions?
Yes. Spherix shares study findings back with participating members, and members whose input is material to a study are recognized as co-authors when that research is presented at medical conferences. Physicians and APPs and other members may also be invited to webinars, roundtables, or to co-author white papers based on their expertise and participation history.
  12. How are my responses used, and will I receive any feedback about study results?
Your responses are de-identified and analyzed with others to generate industry insights. When you participate in a study, you receive key findings and can see how your perspective compared with peers across your specialty. This practice reflects our belief that those who contribute their expertise should see where it goes.
  13. How is fraud prevented and how is my identity verified?
Membership is by application and subject to double verification of credentials and specialty. Physicians and APPs are verified using professional registries and identifiers. We monitor for irregularities and take action on suspected fraud to protect the community and study quality.
  14. How are honoraria handled for one-off or special situations?
If there are extenuating circumstances, such as technical issues or unique study requirements, we review cases individually. In some cases, additional honoraria may be offered in consultation with our franchise leads. For more details, or if you believe you qualify for an adjustment, please reach out to support or to your project contact.
